Dear Valued Stakeholder,
As you may be aware, the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) has been involved in a process to develop a draft action plan for climate change responses, including ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) in the various South African Biomes. This has also been accompanied by the development of draft priority areas maps for EbA and for climate change adaptation for biodiversity.
As part of the process, a number of provincial consultations were undertaken to solicit stakeholder views at provincial level. Furthermore, in order capture wider views for the aforementioned process and to provide an update as we move towards finalisation, DEA would like to invite you (see attached) to a National Stakeholder Consultation Workshop as follows:
Date: 07 February 2019
Venue: TBC (around the O.R. Tambo Airport vicinity in Gauteng)
Given the limited number of seats available you are urged to please confirm your attendance by 07 January 2019 to the officials as indicated in the attached letter.
Your participation and contribution of views will be highly appreciated.
Mr Ntando Mkhize
