Hi everyone
Many of you will have heard about the removal of protesters from the ancient Hambach forest in Germany, in order for mining of coal to go ahead. Some of the protesters have been living in the forest for up to 6 years to prevent it being cut down.
Greenpeace is putting out a call for Chancellor Merkel to save the forest (and act to shift away from coal in Germany), and I’m emailing to request that you consider signing on to the letter, please. Greenpeace Germany would particularly like organisations from outside of Europe to sign on, so we would really appreciate your support.
