Why?

By working together as a community we can move from RE-active to PRO-active security. When an intruder breaks into your house and jumps over the wall to do the same thing next door, signals currently go out to different security companies that do not share this information. The same principle applies to crime incidents on a wider scale across Greenside and Emmarentia. With one security provider for all residents, crime patterns can be effectively monitored and resources applied where criminals are operating. More effective collaboration with the SAPS will also be possible.

The monthly amount that EGSA charges is based on nothing but covering the costs of running the initiative, and we have benchmarked those costs against the rest of the industry. We know we don't have to pay more to get top quality service.   We also expect that by being affordable we should get more support, and the more support we have the more money we will have to spend on better security.  We have not priced according to how much we think you can pay. EGSA is about paying as much as you need to for security, not about how much you can pay.  We invite you to join with many other residents in our community who have decided to take control of their own destiny through the EGSA.

How?

Once you have had a chance to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) and satisfied yourself as to the merits of our initiative, we urge you to download a copy of the contract, complete it, sign it and call any of the contacts below to arrange collection. Details of the cost and service levels are in the FAQs. Costs of additional services are provided in the downloadable Tariffs & Charges Schedule. Your contract will be with the EGSA, which will select and contract with one security provider.
